Chief Financial Officer
For her entire life, Doreen Carter has affectionately called DeKalb County ‘home.’ And as a proud Georgian hailing from the city of Lithonia, she has worked tirelessly for the educational, financial and spiritual advancement and empowerment of the people in the communities of which she is a member.
An accountant by profession, Doreen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the Georgia State University J. Mack Robinson College of Business, then a Master’s in Business Administration from the Kennesaw State University’s Michael J. Coles College of Business. These qualifications set the stage for her service in various corporate and non – profit organizations, where she developed and implemented initiatives designed to enhance their service deliveries and resource capacities. She progressed to leveraging her business acumen to establish her own organization: The Wealth and Wisdom Resource Group.
Continuing her mission to enable individuals to strategically accrue, enjoy and maintain wealth, Doreen entered employment as the Chief Financial Officer of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Georgia. SVdP Georgia is a non – profit organization dedicated to changing “the face of charity by offering hope and help to those we serve through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.”
Doreen is the author of The Miseducation of the Christian… on Money and Giving and the creator of the Who Mooved My Money?® cash management software. As a community leader and an award – winning entrepreneur, she will persist in guiding others towards fiscal prosperity, and in ensuring the success of SVdP Georgia’s charitable efforts.
