Louise Scott serves as vice president of Customer Experience for Southern Company Gas. In this role, she is responsible for customer care for the over 4 million Southern Company Gas customers in Illinois, Virginia, Tennessee and Georgia. This includes all contact channels, billing, credit, strategy and all Voice of the Customer actives.
Scott began her career at Southern Company in 1995 and has served in a variety of leadership roles both at Southern Company and Georgia Power. Prior to 1995 she worked for Florida Power Corp. for nine years in engineering, marketing and governmental affairs roles.
A native of Gloversville, N.Y., Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in studio art from the State University of New York. She completed the Goizueta executive program at Emory University and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School executive accounting and finance program.
Scott is an active member of the Society of Women Engineers and she serves on the University of Florida Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering External Advisory Board and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Georgia Board. In 2009, Scott was named a Woman on the Way (WOW) by Atlanta Woman magazine.
