Profiles of Poverty 2.0
July 1st- July 31st
St. Vincent de Paul Georgia is challenging everyone to take part in Profiles of Poverty 2.0 for the month of July. In 2014, St. Vincent de Paul Georgia, in partnership with Georgia Power, launched the Profiles of Poverty photo exhibit which emphasizes the magnitude of poverty in Georgia. The photos were taken throughout the state of Georgia by a variety of photographers. To make Profiles of Poverty 2.0 happen, we want you to be the photographers.
St. Vincent de Paul Georgia would like you to submit a photo of poverty in your community. The fundamental goal is to open not only your's but everyone's eyes to the poverty around us. With more than 1.8 million Georgians living in poverty, you walk by someone in need of help everyday. This challenge will help us all slow down and realize what we walk by day in and day out and fail to see, a neighbor, a child, or a family struggling to make ends meet and in need of your help.
All you have to do to participate is take a picture that depicts poverty in your community and submit it to St. Vincent de Paul Georgia with a description of where the image was taken. All photos should be submitted via email to Kbrennan@svdpgeorgia.org or you may fill out the form below and we will reach out to you regarding your images.
