Our robust volunteer network is the lifeblood of St. Vincent de Paul Georgia. Volunteers deliver hope and help to families and individuals in need in a variety of ways. Our volunteer opportunities range from home visits, to stocking food pantry shelves, to sorting donated clothing. Join the more than 5,000 volunteers who work tirelessly to be Hope in Action for the thousands of families and individuals struggling with poverty.

Volunteer Leadership

The Volunteer Leadership Team allows for individuals to showcase their unique skillset while engaging with the community. These volunteers will work closely with our clients in Work Force Development, our brand new low to no cost pharmacy, or teaching kitchen.

Volunteer FAQ

Volunteer opportunities are open M-F from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Saturday opportunities are available in our Donation Warehouse, Client Choice Food Pantry, and Thrift Stores.

We can accommodate both small and large volunteer groups. To schedule your group, please email the volunteer coordinator at volunteer@svdpgeorgia.org.

Children and teens over the age of 12 are welcome to volunteer with us. We often have family, school, and youth group volunteers. We require adult chaperons for children under the age of 16. For larger groups of children/teens, we require one adult chaperone for every five children.

We offer various volunteer opportunities, but the average session lasts 3+ hours. Please contact the volunteer coordinator at volunteer@svdpgeorgia.org to schedule your unique opportunity.

Most of our volunteer opportunities are available to people with special needs and disabilities. Please contact the volunteer coordinator at volunteer@svdpgeorgia.org to discuss your specific situation.

Mandatory service hours are tracked differently than our regular projects. An application and interview must be completed before we can award court-related community service hours. Please contact the volunteer coordinator at volunteer@svdpgeorgia.org for more information about our community service program.
