Published on behalf of Charlie Mullaney, Vincentian – SVdP Saint Joseph’s

This year’s Annual Children’s Christmas Party which is sponsored by Saint Joseph Knights of Columbus Council 4599 & Saint Vincent de Paul Society was a huge success!  Thanks to the generous donations from Saint Joseph Catholic Church parishioners which  provided over 1500 gifts to make sure that 750 needy youngsters in Cobb County will have a visit from Santa this year.

Almost 800 toys ready to be bagged and gifted!

Those assisted included 175 local families that received toys and gifts during our Annual Children’s Christmas Party.  Each child received a goody bag, books, hotdogs, chips, drinks and of course a bag full of gifts from Santa!

In addition to those local families served we also provided 100’s of toys and new clothing to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scotish Rite Hospital, Nicholas House which operates an emergency shelter as well as apartment sites for 300 homeless family members nightly and Calvary Children’s Home which is a home for 35 to 40 children in the Metro Atlanta area that are orphaned or need to live apart from their families

In addition to all this, we provided dozens and dozens of books to local elementary schools and local charities

All in all we touched the lives of hundreds of children this Christmas Season!

Thank you! to everyone that volunteered and donated gifts in making this Christmas a little merrier for all the hundreds of children we assisted.
