Check out some of the great things that St. Gabriel’s Youth Conference has been doing in the community lately!

The Youth Group handmade Christmas Cards for the Homebound of St. Gabriel’s Parish. They were taken to the homebound parishioners by the EM Homebound ministry.

They collected small toys, blankets and other items to be used by “Share the Meals” for the Homeless ministry that the Youth Group helps with on the streets of Griffin, GA.

The Youth group met with the founder of “Share the Meals” and baked and wrapped brownies for the Homeless Christmas Celebration. The Christmas Celebration is held the week before Christmas and several ministries (and different denominations) come together to serve the homeless a Christmas meal and hand out t-shirts, blankets, socks, and toys for the children. For this event, the Youth group helped make the desserts and donated toys and other items for distribution.

Youth and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul

The involvement of Youth and Young Adults is an ongoing process that began with the beginning of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul with Frederic Ozanam and his friends. It is the responsibility of all people in the Society to collaborate and brainstorm with the young people who are the future of the Society.
