St. Vincent de Paul Georgia is happy to introduce our first-ever SVdP Georgia Pharmacist, Carmen Rivera. Carmen’s decision to become a pharmacist, 23 years ago, was based solely on wanting to serve others. Her goal has always been to use her pharmaceutical knowledge to help as many people as possible. Carmen is excited to be a part of the SVdP family because she enjoys helping people. Her mom and dad also have always done a lot of charitable service work. For Carmen, the best part about being a pharmacist is when patients walk up to her to ask healthcare questions. Carmen has worked in numerous capacities which includes staff pharmacist, pharmacy manager, and pharmacy supervisor. Her skills are drug intervention management, medicine dispensing, immunizations, FDA drug safety guidelines, customer service, education, and counseling. Outside of work, you will find Carmen spending time with her family, watching sports, reading books, and watching her favorite shows.
